Terms of Use for Nawaxt content
These Terms of Use explain the conditions for using the Nawaxt website, creating an account, posting comments, and submitting work for consideration. By using the Nawaxt website, you agree to these terms.
The nature of Nawaxt
Nawaxt is an independent cultural and intellectual project that publishes articles, essays, translations, criticism, discussions, interviews, books, podcasts, videos, and cultural, social, political, and artistic work.
Publication does not necessarily mean that Nawaxt endorses every opinion expressed in a work. Authors and creators are responsible for the views, analysis, and claims in their work unless the material is published in the name of the Nawaxt editorial team.
Using and republishing content
You may read, listen to, view, and make personal, non-commercial use of publicly available website content.
You may quote a short portion of a work if you clearly identify the creator and Nawaxt and provide a direct link to the original page.
You may not republish a complete work, use it commercially, translate it, change its format, print or sell it, or create an audio or video version without permission from the relevant rights holder. Attribution alone does not replace permission.
Intellectual property
Rights in each article, translation, image, audio file, video, or other work remain with its creator or lawful rights holder.
Nawaxt’s name, logo, visual identity, original design, and material published in the name of its editorial team belong to Nawaxt or the relevant rights holders.
Creators’ rights may include both economic and moral rights. Permitted use depends on applicable law, any stated license, and agreements between the relevant parties. General information about rights in literary and artistic works is available from the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Conditions for submitting work
By submitting work, you confirm that:
- your identity and contact information are accurate;
- you created the work or have permission to submit and publish it;
- the work is not plagiarized and does not infringe another person’s rights;
- sources, quotations, and adaptations are clearly identified;
- you have permission to use images, translations, music, recordings, or video belonging to others;
- the work does not contain unlawful defamation, threats, impersonation, or disclosure of another person’s private information;
- submitting the work does not breach a confidentiality duty, contract, or third-party right;
- any substantial use of artificial intelligence or automated tools in creating, translating, or editing the work has been disclosed to the editorial team.
Using artificial intelligence does not remove the author’s or contributor’s responsibility. The submitter remains responsible for accuracy, originality, source disclosure, and respect for other people’s rights.
The submitter is responsible for claims arising from missing permissions, plagiarism, or false or misleading information in the submitted material.
Editorial discretion
Submitting work does not require Nawaxt to publish it. The editorial team may accept or reject a submission, return it for revision, delay publication, or remove it later for a reasonable editorial, legal, or safety-related reason.
The editorial team may edit titles, spelling, style, internal structure, excerpts, images, formatting, and links. Where a change would materially alter the substance of a work, Nawaxt will seek the creator’s agreement where reasonably possible.
Nawaxt may add a correction, clarification, editorial note, or updated date where necessary for accuracy, transparency, safety, or the protection of rights.
Publication license
Ownership of a submitted work remains with its creator unless a separate written agreement clearly transfers specific rights.
When a work is accepted, the creator grants Nawaxt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, technically format, archive, promote, and distribute the work through the website and Nawaxt’s official channels.
This license does not allow Nawaxt to sell the work independently, publish it as a book, create a complete translation, or make a fundamental adaptation unless the parties enter into a separate agreement.
Payment, fees, royalties, or revenue sharing arise only where the parties have made a clear separate agreement.
Translations
A translator must identify the original author, original title, source language, and source and must be responsible for obtaining any permission required for translation and publication.
The translator’s rights in a translation do not remove the rights of the original creator. Nawaxt may pause publication or remove a translation while its legal status or permissions are being clarified.
A translation should accurately represent the original work. Significant omissions, additions, or interpretive changes must be disclosed to the editorial team and, where published, made clear to readers.
Podcasts, videos, and interviews
Audio, video, and interviews are recorded and published with the knowledge and consent of participants.
Nawaxt may edit a recording for clarity, length, quality, and structure, provided that the meaning of a participant’s words is not changed in a misleading way.
Participants should identify necessary limits concerning confidential information, use of their name or image, or off-the-record material before recording. A specific documented agreement between the parties takes priority over the general provisions in this section.
User comments
Criticism and political, intellectual, or cultural disagreement are not by themselves grounds for deleting a comment. However, the following are not permitted:
- threats, harassment, or incitement to violence;
- hateful content targeting a person or group;
- defamation or allegations without a reasonably reviewable basis;
- disclosure of another person’s private information;
- impersonation;
- advertising, spam, or deceptive links;
- infringement of creators’ rights;
- malware or attempts to damage the website.
Nawaxt may restrict, technically edit, or remove a comment that violates these terms without prior notice and may limit a user’s access in the event of repeated abuse.
Corrections, objections, and removal requests
If published material contains a significant error or infringes your intellectual property, privacy, or reputation, send the exact page address, the part you object to, and relevant evidence to [email protected].
After review, Nawaxt may correct the material, add context, publish a response, restrict access, remove the content, or reject the request. Submitting a request does not by itself establish that the claim is valid or require immediate removal.
External sources and responsibility
A link to or embed from an external source does not mean that Nawaxt endorses that source. External websites and services have their own terms, privacy practices, and responsibilities.
Nawaxt aims to publish carefully and responsibly but does not guarantee that every item is complete or free from error. Website content is not a substitute for qualified legal, medical, financial, or security advice.
Users are responsible for decisions made on the basis of general website content and should consult an appropriately qualified professional in sensitive matters.
Account restrictions and changes to these terms
If these Terms of Use are violated, the website’s security is threatened, services are abused, or another person’s rights are infringed, Nawaxt may remove content and restrict or suspend access or an account.
These Terms of Use may be updated when Nawaxt’s services or applicable legal requirements change. A revised version becomes effective when published on this page, and the date at the top will be updated.
For permission requests, corrections, or content-removal requests, contact Nawaxt at [email protected].
